Ningbo-Zhoushan Port
Ningbo-Zhoushan port is located in the province of Zhejiang in China, in the East China Sea, and it is one of the busiest ports in the world. The port is situated at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Qiantang River and consists of a group of islands off the coast of Ningbo. The Ningbo-Zhoushan port comprises five main islands: Zhoushan Island, Daishan Island, Shenjiamen Island, Shengsi Island, and Yueqing Island. The port consists of two main parts: the inner harbor and the outer harbor. The inner harbor is located in the city of Ningbo, while the outer harbor is located in the Zhoushan Islands. The port has five berths for container ships, three for bulk carriers, and two for oil tankers. It also has a terminal for passengers. Ningbo-Zhoushan port is an essential gateway for trade between China and the rest of the world. It is also a critical link in the country’s transport network. The port is served by several highways and railways and has direct access to the East China Sea.
The port has an area of over 7,000 square kilometers and a total coastline of 1,500 kilometers. The port handles a wide variety of cargo, including containers, bulk commodities, and oil, and is home to over 2,000 berths and over 500 million tons of cargo yearly.
