The Port of Dubai is situated on the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. It is the largest man-made harbor in the world and the busiest port in the Middle East. The port is located just south of the Dubai International Airport. The major towns near Dubai Port are Sharjah Ajman Umm al-Quwain Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah.

The Port of Dubai was founded in the early 1900s by the British. It was originally used as a base for the British Navy. The port was later expanded and modernized by the United Arab Emirates.

The Port of Dubai is a central hub for the shipping industry. It is home to over 3,000 ships. The port handles over 60 million tons of cargo each year. The Port of Dubai is also a popular tourist destination. The port is home to the Dubai Aquarium, the Dubai Museum, and the Dubai Zoo.

Export /Import requirements

The Dubai Customs authority requires that all shipments entering or leaving the port of Dubai is declared to them. The declaration must include a description of the goods, their value, the consignor and consignee’s names and addresses, and the shipment’s route.

To import goods into the UAE, traders must obtain a license from the Ministry of Economy. The license is valid for one year and allows the import of a specified quantity of goods.
