Groningen Port
Groningen Port is a seaport located in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. It is situated on the Eemskanaal, which connects the port to the North Sea. The major towns near Groningen Port are Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Lelystad. Groningen Port is the largest port in the Netherlands regarding tonnage of cargo handled and is also one of the busiest ports in the country. The port handles a variety of cargo, including containers, Ro-Ro, and break bulk. Groningen Port is also a central hub for the transportation of wind turbines.
