Zirku Island Port
Zirku Island Port is a major seaport in the United Arab Emirates. It is located on the island of Zirku, off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Zirku Island Port is a natural deep-water harbor on Zirku Island in the Persian Gulf. It is situated about 75 miles (120 kilometers) northwest of Abu Dhabi and about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the mainland of the United Arab Emirates. major towns near Zirku Island Port are Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al-Hisn. The port is used to export crude oil and natural gas from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and other oil companies operating in the UAE. The port has been in operation since the early 1970s and is one of the busiest in the UAE. The port has a single berth and can accommodate up to 250,000 DWT tankers.
The island is home to many facilities, including a desalination plant, a power station, and a sewage treatment plant. There is also a small community of workers who live on the island. The island is a popular destination for tourists who come to Abu Dhabi. There are some hotels and resorts on the island. Visitors can enjoy the beaches, the restaurants, and the many available activities.
