Why Does DFreight Require a Photo ID During the Account Setup Process?

When creating a user account with the DFreight digital platform, you must provide a valid photo ID. We need a photo ID for two reasons: to comply with Customs rules and regulations and to safeguard your identity.

Since our onboarding procedure is digital, the simplest approach for us to complete our due diligence, in this case, is to examine the photo ID. We need to confirm that the person who created the account is who they say they are.

This protects your identity throughout the account setup procedure. Although anyone may supposedly register online and claim to be affiliated with a specific business, validating photo IDs assures that everyone is who they claim to be.

To upload or change your photo, click on your profile name on the top-right hand of the platform screen and select “Profile” from the drop-down menu.

Click on the photo circle, select a photo file from your computer, drag to reposition the photo, and click the “Done” button.
